Meet the Lyles3DPrinting V4.2—the next evolution in high-output Power Wheels gearboxes. This upgraded system features a hardened top and bottom housing FDM molded from an advanced synthetic engineering polymer that delivers extreme rigidity, thermal stability, and precise gear alignment even under heavy load. It’s incredibly strong during real-world use and abuse. The bottom box sits inside the frame like normal but now the top cover connects to the bottom from the wheel well allowing you easier access to the gears and pinions on the track. You don't have time between raccess to disassemble the entire car just to find out you wired the motors back up wrong at the starting line!
Reinforced Where It Matters
The entire case has been redesigned with strategic ribbing, expanded load paths, and high-stress reinforcements, including integrated structural bracing around the dual-775 motor area. This prevents case flex, maintains perfect alignment, and eliminates gear spread during high-torque launches.
Ultra-Low Friction Second Stage — 90% Friction Reduction
The refined second stage cuts friction by over 90%, giving the V4.2:

Every V4.2 includes an additional Mod-1 dual-bearing second gear (optional install) capable of increasing top speed by up to 20% over OEM 32-pitch gearing.
Both second-gear options come included, allowing you to choose torque mode, speed mode, or swap depending on your build.
Every Bottome box incorporates the easy pinion access ports. Now its easier to tighten your pinions without removing the boxes or stripping them out (we all know how valuable this is).

The Lyles3DPrinting V4.2 Modified Gearbox (18–24V) is the strongest, smoothest, and most efficient gearbox ever released in the L3dP-series. High-strength materials, refined gear geometry, dual-bearing support, ultra-low friction stages, and dual-motor compatibility make it the ultimate drop-in performance upgrade for serious Power Wheels racing.
Each pair comes pre broke in, Tested and lubricated ready to drop in and go.
